The talk presents the IaaS cloud computing managing tool : OpenStack. It covers the basic principles of OpenStack and its architecture, along with a demonstration showing how to manage Virtual Machines using the orchestration OpenStack component : ’Heat’


Michaël Van de Borne works at CETIC, a research center in IT in Charleroi, Belgium, as a research engineer in the Software and Services Technologies department. Graduated with a master degree in engineering from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, with a specialisation in computer science and management in 2006, he joined CETIC the same year. His expertise field though starts in grid computing, and logically evolves toward SOA and Cloud Computing.
