WIMS is an interactive service provided by many universities, also used by secondary schools. It features thousands of exercise modules with randomly generated contents, and can be used to author courses illustrated by images that readers can modify interactively. During the talk, differences between WIMS and other LMS will be highlighted, as well as possible synergies, like between WIMS and MOODLE.

Georges Khaznadar is teacher of physics and chemistry in lycée Jean Bart, Dunkerque, France. He participated to the development of WIMS since its beginning in 1999, contributing a few libraries necessary for his speciality, and worked out the first plugin to link WIMS and MOODLE. He is in charge of the package wims in Debian and Ubuntu, which makes its installation automatic.
