Scientific measurement software are often dedicated to a single device. The "Mensurasoft-system" (Linux and Windows) can use all the scientific measuring devices with the same software by drivers (dynamic libraries) specific to each device. These drivers (normally LGPL) are programmable in any compiled language (various Basic, Pascal, C / C + +), and applications are programmable in even more languages. Developments are presented for very fast measurements, at level of microseconds, which require specific functions.

Pierre Dieumegard is professor of biology, geology and computer science at Orleans (France). For twenty years, he produced software measurement for scientific experimentation using the "Mensurasoft system" for diverse measuring devices. (website: He wants the cooperation of all users of scientific equipment connectable to a computer.
