This workshop comes next to the short talk about WIMS

Within a few minutes, you will be able to create a virtual class in WIMS, and watch how students can behave in it. You will discover a few elementary techniques to modify contents or create new ones (interactive exercises, courses, demonstrations). You will visit and experiment various analysis methods for answers (text, approximative text, mobile labels, numbers, physical quantities and chemical equations, symbolic relations, etc.)

Georges Khaznadar is teacher of physics and chemistry in lycée Jean Bart, Dunkerque, France. He participated to the development of WIMS since its beginning in 1999, contributing a few libraries necessary for his speciality, and worked out the first plugin to link WIMS and MOODLE. He is in charge of the package wims in Debian and Ubuntu, which makes its installation automatic.
