Abstract

We present recent developments of the nonprofit OLPC project. The free-libre Sugar learning platform is now compatible with common GNU/Linux distributions such as Fedora, Mageia-Mandriva and Ubuntu. Recent XO laptops are more powerful but keep their original sturdy and low consumption design. OLPC tablets should be commercialized in 2013. Specific Sugar activities will complement already existing free (and sometimes libre) educational activities of Android.
