Health centers run heterogeneous eHealth platforms, where interoperability is key. GNU Health, the Free Health and Hospital Information System, uses the Free Software philosophy to integrate and to interface with other health care software, such as Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), Medical Imaging (DICOM) or ERPs. In the conference we will emphasize the importance of health informatics in public administrations and how to achieve interoperability.

Luis Falcón is a free software and animal rights activist. He is the author of GNU Health, the award-winning Free Health and Hospital Information System.
