By free access to the sources and the ability to make the necessary adaptations, free software is naturally favorable to develop accessibility for everyone. Now that things are changing, we still uniquely positioned companies developing proprietary software for accessibility notes. What free software can it promote the progress of accessibility? What are the obstacles? How to fix it?
Armony has been an activist promoting Freedom since her teenage years. At the same time she had mobility problem, she discovered the power of the Web and Free Softwares as a vector for inclusion.
Armony founded the April association’s working group "Accessibility and Free Softwares" in 2009 and coordinated it until November 2012. She wrote a book about Web accessibility (in French). Her job consist in being a consultant and a trainer specialised in Computer accessibility for her company ACS Horizons.
