Do you think you know everything about the free culture? The publication of the book intitled "Histoires et Cultures du libre" in April 2013 (about 600 pages!) implies some time for reflection.

As a result of the collaboration of 23 authors, mostly academic authors, this book is a synthesis of the actual knowledges on free culture and free software movement, its representations in society, history, legal contexts, economy and computer sciences and technologies. For the first time, it will not be studied by its actors but observators who seek not the historical "roots" of a movement, but the elements which where cristallised in history in order to produce a diruption of knowledge and technics in different fields. An ambitious and prospective book which aims to privide the master keys of the principles of free movement and their issues today.

Framabook is the Framasoft’s free book collection.
